The Blogger Behind Shelf of a Bookworm

Ysabel

Alola! I’m Ysabel, the blogger behind Shelf of a Bookworm, residing in a tropical Southeast Asian country: the Philippines. I’m a sixteen-year-old bookworm and currently am a high school student, working hard to reach my dreams and goals in life and trying not to throw away my shot. *suddenly plays My Shot by Lin-Manuel Miranda*

My aspirations are becoming a Pediatrician and an educator who could encourage other young children in exploring and appreciating the power of literature and who could help the uneducated. Other than that, I also aspire to become a writer or an author, dreaming that one day I would be able to get my future work(s) published.

I created Shelf of a Bookworm,ย made in May 4, 2017 (May the 4th be with you!), because I’ve always wanted to be a part of the book blog community. I felt inspired by the many amazing things that one can do as a book blogger. In Goodreads, my usual cycle is: rate a book by stars when finished, immediately move on to the next book, and then repeat, but now I want to share my thoughts and other bookish things to the book community not only through Goodreads but also through a blog of my own.

If you want, you may follow and chat me through Twitter or add me in Goodreads.

Thank you! God bless.

Love, Ysabel
